    Attention all Seminoles and Gators!

TMS is producing an all day, family FUN event downtown on November 28, 2015 and is looking for sponsors.

College GAMEDAY is an inaugural event for downtown West Palm Beach designed to take advantage of the intense rivalry and excitement that the University of Florida and Florida State University football generates. College GAMEDAY will create awareness of business in West Palm Beach though this unique and spectacular experience. Vigorous promotions, branding, and marketing efforts will be utilized throughout the state of Florida and beyond.

The event will be focused at "Meyer Field" with two giant outdoor screens at either, chalked like a football field, with “stadium” vendors, raffles, bands, celebrity speakers, competitions, and more entertainment. High school cheerleaders and bands will play Seminole and Gator fight songs, and a Pee Wee game and Pee Wee cheerleaders will play earlier in the day, along with special MVP specials offered by the Clematis Street merchants.

College games will be featured throughout the day on the big screens. Downtown merchants will offer food and drink specials to entice fans to come early and stay late. Pre-event parties and co-promotions will be developed with local small businesses to get them involved for the holiday shopping, and the college football community. Florida TaxWatch Update

In an unexpected move, the Florida House adjourned Sine Die on Tuesday, April 28th, three days before the constitutionally mandated end of session. Their early recess resulted in many bills dying, including addressing the state’s sun-setting Enterprise Zone program and allowing Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners to practice to the fullest extent of their training. For all the information on the bills that have passed and the bills that will not this year, check out FLORIDA TAXWATCH’S LEGISLATIVE UPDATE.

Florida's per capita state government tax and revenue collections are at their lowest points in decades, according to the state's fiscal watchdog, Florida TaxWatch. The latest report, How Florida Compares, shows the state's per capita state tax collections have fallen to 48th in the nation.

"Florida's different tax rankings paint a picture for taxpayers that help them understand how state and local governments work together to provide necessary services," said Dominic M. Calabro, President and CEO of Florida TaxWatch. How Florida Compares is available in a convenient, slim pocket guide format, perfect for your desk, briefcase or jacket pocket.
