    TAXWATCH OFFERS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO THE BUSINESS LEADERS OF TOMORROW

    Being a Florida TaxWatch Citizenship Institute graduate is more than just a line on a resume. You will learn firsthand from Florida's most influential policy leaders and business executives how state and local government policies impact your community and your business, and the most effective ways to ensure that your voice is heard and respected.

    Florida TaxWatch Citizenship Institute graduates will be prepared to ask the right questions about governments' proposed and pending policies. Participants will understand the key points, whether issues have federal, state, or local components, whether they are statutory or administrative regulations, and what the differences mean to your business. They will also participate in various workshops, learning from some of Florida’s top governmental leaders. Previous speakers included Governor Bob Martinez and Senator JD Alexander.

    EVENING ON ANTIQUE ROW

    Young Friends of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, in partnership with the Antique Row Association, hosted the trendiest street party in town on Saturday, March 5th, 2016. The “Row” came to life with live music, entertainment, cocktails, food, luxe shopping, and much more. Thank you to Young Friends Steering Committee Chairmen: Scott Velozo, Palm Beach Post and Kevin Clark, Sotheby's International Realty, and all of our sponsors for making this event happen. Evening on Antique Row benefits the Historical Society of Palm Beach County.

    ABC OF FLORIDA HAS 2016 SESSION SUCCESS

    Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida passes Public Private Partnership Reform during the 2016 Legislative Session. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of Senator Greg Evers and Representative Greg Steube, the PPP process in Florida will be improved.

    As the largest Commercial Construction Association in Florida it is critically important that we continue to lead the efforts to improve this important procurement process for Florida.

    Senate Bill 124 strengthens the 2013 statute by adopting the recommendations of the statewide Task Force established by our 2013 law. Senate Bill 126 creates a necessary and temporary public records exemption for the work product of an unsolicited public private partnership proposal.

    TurtleFest - March 19, 2016

    Loggerhead Marinelife Center will once again host TurtleFest at the center's ocean-side campus and surrounding Loggerhead Park this past April. The family-friendly event allowed visitors up-close encounters with threatened and endangered sea turtles, as well as fine art, shopping, children’s games and activities, educational presentations, a Global Village, food, and music by conservation-minded local musicians.

    Delray Beach Bacon and Bourbon Fest - March 18-19, 2016

    "Pig-out" at this two-day event featuring four course Bacon & Bourbon dining experiences, over 80 bacon inspired menu items and a soon to be famous Sunday Brunch, great live music, and a collection of over 40 bourbons and whiskeys for your tasting pleasure. For those of you who we cannot convince to partake in Bourbon, there will be a full bar, wines and Heineken Light. And an occasional whiskey or rye thrown in for good measure.
