Wayne Merchant, Creative Director for TMS is an illustrator and graphic designer. His ability to deliver a wide variety of artwork, from whimsical cartoons to detailed FDOT road alignments, makes him a sought after artist.
Wayne began his career freelancing for the Palm Beach Post, Boca Raton magazine and several public relations agencies. He later provided expertise in Seattle, WA, where he began his relationship as the art director for WHERE Seattle, freelancing for the Seattle Times and Seattle Magazine. He later became the art director for Visitor's Choice and Flathead Living magazines, a client he presently maintains.
Wayne’s creative ability lends itself to many different art mediums, including graphic design, brochure and magazine layout, cartooning, painting. He speaks French fluently.
In his free time, Wayne enjoys biking and the beach. He volunteers art work for several local environmental charities and participates each year at the Lake Worth Street Painting festival.
Wayne is a fifth generation Floridian, originally from West Palm Beach, residing in Fort Lauderdale. He graduated from the Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota Florida, with a degree in Fine Arts.
